Cherry season 2026: steady volumes, large sizes

Cherry season 2026: steady volumes, large sizes

A mild spring and even flowering gave orchards in central Moldova a good start. What we expect for sizes, colour and delivery windows.

Flowering went ahead without late frosts in most partner orchards, which lets us expect a season with volumes on par with last year.

Sizes and varieties

The share of 28+ mm fruit is expected to grow, especially for Kordia and Regina. Early varieties will be available from the last week of May.

Logistics

Same-day pre-cooling after picking and direct transport to Rungis remain the key to freshness. We advise partners to confirm truck slots 7–10 days in advance.
